Examples are: complex multiple disability; neurological impairment; acquired brain injury; spinal injury; orthopaedic problems; cerebral palsy; work injury.
The UK has an extremely poor record in getting people back to work after serious injury - only 10 percent return to gainful employment compared with 30 percent in the USA and 50 percent in Scandinavia.
Harrison Associates fully supports Rehabilitation First, a campaign that aims to win widespread acceptance of the principle behind the Code of Best Practice on Rehabilitation: that claimant lawyers and insurers consider rehabilitation of the injured party as the first priority.
The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, Forum of Insurance Lawyers, Association of British Insurers and International Underwriting Association of London were all behind the creation of the code.
